The 2008 Diamond Gala Project Committee has been preparing for an extraordinary Diamond Gala Weekend intended to benefit the Midland-Odessa Symphony Chorale, as well as provide an elegant event for the community, guild members and belles.

All Gala events will be held at Midland Center
- Friday, February 8, 7:00 pm – Senior Presentation, dinner, live music and dancing
This alcohol- and drug-free, black-tie event is the culmination of the past four years of volunteer service provided by our Senior Belles.
Anyone wishing to recognize these deserving leaders while also contributing to the Symphony is invited to attend Friday night’s dinner and dance.
- Saturday, February 9, 11:00 am – Freshman Introduction, brunch, fashion show and harpist
This Luncheon formally introduces our Freshman Belles and represents the prologue of the next four years of volunteer service which will be graciously provided by these young ladies.
Anyone wishing to endorse these fervent apprentices while also contributing to the Symphony is encouraged to attend Saturday morning’s luncheon and fashion show.
- Saturday, February 9, 8:00 pm – Belle Ball
This Saturday night dance is made available by the Guild to all our Belles (yes, Seniors through Freshmen) as our way of saying “thank-you” for the community service provided by our Belles. Each Belle may bring an escort to this alcohol- and drug-free event and dance to the music provided.
BELLES PLEASE NOTE: Senior and Freshman practice and event line-up times are provided in your Belle Handbook. You will also be receiving additional information about specific times from your Belle Moms. All Belles will also be receiving a formal invitation to Belle Ball which will be mailed in the near future.
BELLES AND PARENTS PLEASE NOTE: It is the goal of the Project Committee to provide a first-class and memorable dance for the Belles and their dates. As a Belle at Belle Ball, you represent the Guild, your family and your character. A Belle’s behavior should be commensurate with such stature. Please remind your guests/escorts that ANYONE found to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs or conducting lewd, vulgar or inappropriate dancing/behavior will be directed out of Midland Center by security, parents will be notified and you will not be allowed to return.
ATTENTION GUILD MEMBERS: Take note of your placement for Gala Weekend (see link to schedule below) and be prepared to work the ENTIRE shift for which you were assigned. EVERY ACTIVE MEMBER is required to work a placement during the Gala weekend.
